Morty Takes a Walk

Where will he go?

Well, it is a new season, and new projects are emerging.

I am writing a children’s book! Although it could be for anyone really.

Will you join me on my journey this season as I start to illustrate this story? The tale is already written, so I am now embarking on the process of creating images for each page. It was so neat today when I finally printed out the text and folded it up, just to get a feel for its basic form.

It feels so free and skeletal, so many parts whirling in the ether. I see some pieces clearly in my mind, but some I know will show themselves later.

The story starts here:

Meet Morty.
He is a gray sphinx cat.
He has large green eyes.
Spinx cats usually do not have fur.
They are smooth like stones that have been made soft by the sea.
But Morty is different.
He has a soft dusting of fur on the tip of his tail.

I imagine something very special might happen.
